And here are some cute pictures of him playing at the park. I haven't been to Creekmore (well, the playground part of it) in years. The most horrible thing has happened. They've taken out the merry-go-round thingy. You remember, the huge yellow metal spinning-wheel-of-death? They've even taken away the mini version that was over by the kiddie toys. Sigh.. Caleb will never know the joy of someone pushing it so fast that the centrifugal force threatened to swing you off head-first. Just think of all the childhood injuries they are depriving people of. It makes me sad.

Name That Blog

Okay, so it's become obvious that we need a new name for the blog. It's not all about Caleb anymore. Poor thing, he's going to miss getting all of the attention. Please submit all of your ideas here, in the comments section. Get creative, people!

Happy Easter!

This was Caleb's first Easter egg hunt. He did very well. He enjoyed putting the eggs in his basket so much that he played with them all evening at home.

After the egg hunt, all of the kids were entered in a drawing for prizes. Everyone won something. Caleb got a chocolate bunny and a ball.

He loved his ball so much that he didn't even let it go when he fell asleep on the way home...

And when we got home he took it to bed with him!

More Snow Pictures

Here are some pictures that Pennie took. She made the snow dragon. It doesn't show up well in the picture, but it was very cute in real life!

Snow!!

Josh found the cords for my camera! Yay! Last night it snowed... a lot. The ruler I stuck out on our deck said 5 inches, but the news guy said that some of it had already melted because it is above freezing. Who knows how much we actually had total.
Anyway, Josh had to be at work by seven. He really wanted to see Caleb play in the snow before it melted, so we went outside at six a.m. to play. This was Caleb's first real snow. All he's ever seen is a light dusting. So here are some pictures!

emails

Okay, so you may be wondering why I sent out the emails about this blog. I've decided that I'm not entirely comfortable having it open to public access, so I've changed it into an invitation-only blog. That being said, I'm sorry there is nothing new to see. When we moved I was very careful to pack my camera where I could find it again. However, I failed to pack the cord that charges the camera's battery in an easy to find location. The charger is AWOL, thus the pictures are on hold. Fear not, my people, for Caleb is still just as cute as ever. There will be more pictures someday!

X-Box

Josh was playing x-box online with a friend. Caleb grabbed a big lego piece, climbed up on the couch, and started to play along. He stared at Josh's fingers moving, watched the action on the screen, and then started using the lego like a controller. He had a great time. It was obviously exciting because he kept yelling stuff at the tv. To be honest, I'm slightly disturbed that he was so into it.

Haircuts and Random Things

Okay, so I've done a lousy job of posting lately... I'll make it up to you now. First, we have some photos of Caleb's first haircut. Josh did a great job. He plunked him in the sink and went for it. Caleb looks like a little man now. (tear, sniff, sniff)

This is an interesting little story. We had a cardboard box sitting in the floor from the church's new projector. Caleb decided he would climb it. This was apparently great fun. I got a little nervous, so you can see the ring of pillows and blankets around the box. Caleb soon discovered that he could fall off of the box and land on the pillows. Again. And again. This was a great game until he tried to get back on the box again, slipped on a protective pillow, and scraped his nose on the edge of the box. (sigh, that's the way these things go.) The last picture is him licking the ice pack that we put on his nose. Yes, it is a giant Oreo ice pack. He thought it was almost as much fun as the box.
